Wired keyboard or wireless keyboard? Which one do you prefer? Both of them have their advantages and disadvantages. Wireless keyboards are new generation keyboards. They look sleek, and are well chiseled. They can cut down clutter. You need to look after the wire that connects it to the CPU. Just imagine what it can do to a workplace. It can make your workplace truly uncluttered.

Wireless keyboards score high on convenience. You can sit far away from the computer, and yet operate it. A wireless keyboard will always be recommended for people suffering from eye problems due to prolonged exposure to computer screens.

Keyboard Shortcuts – Great Way To Boost Productivity On The Computer

The mouse entered the picture only after graphical user interfaces became popular. Earlier, each and every minor command had to be typed in detail.

This is the reason why keyboard shortcuts were created where pressing the keys in a specific pattern led to the computer assuming that a particular command had to be executed. Combining Ctrl and C on your computer is enough to make the system understand that you want a particular file or particular content on the screen to be copied into the clipboard.

Why is it advisable to know and remember keyboard shortcuts? For starters, you can improve your working speed drastically by resorting to keyboard shortcuts. Pressing the Windows button followed by E, pressing the left button once and the down button twice will automatically take you to the 3rd drive on your computer. When you press Windows +E, the Windows explorer opens. The C drive folder tree is minimized when you press the left button. The screen shifts to the 3rd drive when you press the down button twice. Try doing this and try comparing the process with the time taken to activate the Windows explorer and moving to the E. drive using the mouse.

You will notice that it is virtually impossible to replicate the speed offered by a keyboard shortcut. Remembering these keys is not difficult provided you incorporate it into your daily usage. If you use these shortcuts again and again, you will automatically remember it even when you are working under high pressure. Use keyboard shortcut smartly and you will always get compliments at their speed as your hands move over the keyboard. Handling the keyboard is no different than handling of musical instrument. It is just a question of practice.

Tips To Keep Your Laptop Keyboard Clean – Blow It Out Or Get A New Keyboard

Cleaning a standard keyboard is not a very difficult task. You can unscrew the bottom and dismantle the device and clean it anyway you want. Opening the keyboard is not a smart move but you can give it a try if you are confident of putting it back together.

However, this option is not available when you were working on your laptop. The keyboard is an integral part of the laptop and cannot be removed individually. You will have to dismantle the entire device and that is a strict No-No unless you are a licensed technician from the manufacturer. You have two options to clean the laptop keyboard.

Buy a can of compressed air or use a vacuum cleaner to air when you are holding your laptop upside down. The burst of compressed air will be enough to push even the most stubborn dirt from the bottom of the keyboard. Since you are holding it upside down, the dirt will easily slip through the cracks and will be out of your system.

Another option is to make use of a small pen knife to remove each and every key. The individual key on the keyboard of the laptop is fitted using springs and hooks. You simply have to lift the key off the hook and remove it. Fitting the key is not very difficult. Just do not use too much pressure because even the slightest crack can leave you with a vacant spot on your keyboard.

If you want to avoid the entire complication of having a dirty keyboard to be cleaned, you can go in for wireless or USB keyboard specially designed for your laptop.
